Hyundai will soon have a pickup truck in it's lineup!

The 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz should reach dealerships later this year. The vehicle will have four doors, a small bed, and a grille that looks similar to the 2022 Tucson. The truck seems to be sportier and more on-road-focused than others of its kind. The cab has a sleek look, due to the C-pillar slanting toward the bed. It's name will be prominently displayed across the rear.
This vehicle does not ride on a body-on-frame chassis, like we see on the Honda Ridgeline and Ford Maverick. The Santa Cruz will also be able to haul kayaks and bikes.
Hyundai wants to emphasize the vehicles off-road capability and on-road comfort. It is predicted to have a 2.5-liter and turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine options paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
This concept first made its debut at the 2015 Detroit auto show. It will finally go into production at the Hyundai factory in Alabama sometime this June, making it available late this Summer. The Santa Cruz is expected to start around the mid-$20,000 range for a base model. It will be available with both 18 or 20-inch wheels.
On the interior we see a fully digital gauge cluster and a traditional shifter on the center console. There should be a standard 8.0-inch and an available 10.0-inch touchscreen. Wireless pairing for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available. An upgraded Bose stereo comes with eight-speakers. Standard driver assistance features will be Driver-Attention Warning, Forward-Collision Warning, Lane-Departure Warning, and Lane-Keeping Assist. There is also an available Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert System.
